Q: Tell us about your experience with Acorn Real Estate Co.
A: When my husband and I first moved to North Carolina, we were overwhelmed by the market. We were renting and unsure which area was suitable for us and what kind of home would be the best investment. We were blown away when we started working with Martin of Acorn Real Estate Co. to guide us in this crazy market. He found us a perfect property, and when it was time for us to move from that home only two years later, it was a no-brainer to use Martin again to sell the house. Q: What process did you use to select Acorn to represent you in your home search?
A: Originally, when we were new transplants to the area, we had a different agent. This agent left us feeling confused and misguided. We needed someone on top of their game and who would work with our specific interests in mind. When we asked around, Acorn Real Estate Co. was highly recommended by an overwhelming amount of locals. We scheduled a buyers consultation with Martin, coming into the process completely clueless, and after a meeting with him, felt at ease and excited about finding a home.
Q: What fears did you have about buying or selling your home today?
A: Our biggest fear when buying a home was that we didn’t want to buy a home in an area that wasn’t right for us or be talked into something too expensive. Martin took our interest and budget very seriously and found us a hidden gem! Then, when we went to sell the home, we were afraid of not making top dollar. However, not only did Acorn Real Estate Co. make the selling process virtually painless and straightforward, but within 24 hours of going on the market, our home was in a bidding war. Martin’s savvy marketing skills and expertise with pricing allowed us to accept an offer for way over anything we could’ve imagined our home would sell for.
Q: How was working with Acorn Real Estate Co. different from other brokers you worked with?
A: We never felt fully clued in to the process when we worked with different agents and teams in the past. Martin, however, took the time to explain everything to us, met with us in person, and was available to answer every random question we had as new NC residents. He helped us find a home quickly, and navigate our new city, Raleigh. Martin didn’t sugar coat anything, letting us know that finding a home here is a little more challenging; however, he was always optimistic, transparent, and incredibly generous with his knowledge and time.
Q: What would you say in recommending Acorn Real Estate Co. to a friend?
A: We would recommend anyone in the Triangle area use Acorn for both selling and buying. We’d most definitely mention how incredibly easy Martin was to work with!
